Wow, I haven’t done this in a while.  It’s a podcast!  I’ve been thinking about doing one all summer, and I just kept putting it off and putting it off, and then I saw that it’s World Podcast Day, and so I figured I’d go for it!

So, what’s been on my mind all summer that I felt I had to podcast about it?  Well, my thoughts on Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story, of course!  That’s not all…I also mention what’s going on with me.  If you’re my Facebook friend, then you’ve seen my cryptic “health updates” from time to time.  So, I give you the full update on my health.

Well, it’s that time.  I’ve got an itch.  I’ve got an inspiration.  And it can only be satiated by sitting behind the mic and pumping out a podcast!  You probably know what the inspiration was:

• Fist on deck, we’ve got to talk about that first trailer for The Last Jedi, as we continue counting down to the newest Star Wars movie.
• And since we’re at it, may as well talk about the other trailer:  Thor Ragnarok, which broke records for being the biggest trailer launch in Disney’s history.  And that naturally leads into a bunch of Marvel news.
• And, a tale of buried treasure from the UK, which I find just fascinating.

And I’m going to try something.  Real Life has gotten a little too busy to pump one out weekly, so at the very least, I’m going to try and pump one out monthly.  Hopefully, this’ll be the start.

Well, when I posted my Christmas special podcast, I said, “Gee, I’d better make a podcast pretty early in the new year, or else the first thing people will see when they come by my website is the Christmas podcast, and that’ll get out-of-date pretty quickly.”

It only took me until Groundhog’s Day to do it!  That, and, as I was blogging last week, I figured that there’s lots I have to podcast about, so I should get to it.

And here we are with February Special: A Month of Holidays.  So what compelled me to sit behind the mic once again?

• Sharing my woes that I didn’t get a Classic NES for Christmas
• Geeking out over my new phone and my first adventures in Pokemon Go.
• And mourning the closure of HMV, and reminiscing about all the music stores that used to be in West Edmonton Mall.

And so many trailers came along in January!  I’ve got to share my thoughts on the trailers for Power Rangers, Logan, and Beauty and the Beast.

December is upon us, and I just had an itch to do a Christmas podcast.  As I explain in the podcast, every three or four years, I figure I need to freshen up my Christmas music library, and buy a bunch of new Christmas albums.  I did that last year.  So as I was scrolling through my Christmas music, listening to the tunes as I decorated the apartment, I figured I should share this music in a podcast.

And this, Christmas Special: Scarecrow’s Second Christmas Mix Tape.  I mostly play a bunch of my favourite Christmas songs, and in between, I share some stories of the season.

• I celebrate some little victories.
• I share what I want for Christmas (a classic NES, if they can still be found.)
• I share a little bit on the history of A Christmas Story
• And a special holiday edition of Mark Tastes Random Things, where I try all the Christmas pepperminty stuff from Tim Hortons.

• How I spent my summer vacation, recounting my recent adventure in the mountains
• Force Friday, and getting my hands on all the Rogue One toys for my collection
• Recapping some of the summer blockbusters, with some reminiscing on Ghostbusters and Star Trek Beyond

Had to take a break from my hiatus for a special installment of U62: The Targ.  More specifically, a special installment of my segment “Mark Tastes Random Things.”  What random thing did I have to taste?

Crystal Pepsi.

I loved Crystal Pepsi back in the day.  It was Pepsi…THAT WAS CLEAR!  It was so awesome.  I personally felt it didn’t taste exactly like Pepsi.  When it went away, I was sad.  When I first launched this website, I had a page dedicated to my love for Crystal Pepsi.  I longed for its return.  So, when they announced it was coming back, I was elated.

When I got my hands on my first bottle, I knew I had to share it with you.  So I drink it live on the air, and tell you all about it.

Just one of those days, ya know?  It was long, it was hard, it was fun, and I was beat when all was said and done.  But the inspiration hit me, and I felt compelled to fire up the computer and crank out a podcast.  So what inspired me to record Episode 9.08: I Saw a Fox?

• Well, there was no podcast last week because it was the May long weekend, so I tell you what I was going to do on the weekend, which leads to reminiscing about the Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site.
• I just got home from X-Men: Apocalypse, so I have to share my thoughts on that.
• Also gotta share my thoughts on the new Star Trek Beyond trailer.

And I actually did see a fox frolicking in the ditch on my way home from the city, hence the title.

Wow!  I’ve been away for a month!  What happened?  Well, as is my tradition, the first break in the podcast is explaining what occupied my weekend’s past that prevented me from doing it.  So, yeah.  Tune in for that!  What else do I ramble about?

Well, I just came home from Captain America: Civil War, so there’s my rants about that.  I caught last year’s Fantastic Four reboot on Netflix, so my thoughts about that.  And growing excitement for X-Men: Apocalypse.  Huh.  I guess I could have called this one Make Mine Marvel.

Well, now that my life is returning to some sense of regularity, shall we try to get podcasts out on a regular basis?  I don’t have much to ramble about in Episode 9.05: Just Another Saturday, but I have a few things to ramble about nonetheless.  What are my rambles?

• Well, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now on Blu-Ray, so I’ve watched it again and have some new thoughts to share.
• Speaking of Star Wars, we’ve got the first trailer for Rogue One, so I’ve got some thoughts to share on that.
• And we’re getting more Marvel TV shows and reviews for Captain America: Civil War are out, so I share the news.
